Who is standing behind the camera?
Hello, we are Alex and Daniel - your photographers, advisors, and companions. We are passionate about photography and
try our best to share this passion with others in any shape or form. We love taking photos. We love working with people.
We love challenges and novelty. Above all, though, we love the smiles and astonishment when it comes to presenting the
results. Being friendly and easy-going we fairly easily "click" with people and figure out what it is that needs
to be done, what style is to be used, and what the desired outcome is expected to be. We've become friends with many of
our clients and we are very proud of it. It takes two to tango; trust, respect, and sympathy do not appear out of
nowhere and take time to develop. We treasure our relationships with clients and are always there to do the next project
or event with them. This is the only way...
Our Story
What started as a childhood curiosity turned into a full-fledged passion and eventually resulted in the birth of a new
photography studio.
We have been friends for the longest time and enjoyed sharing interests and activities together. From skiing to
mountaineering and from skydiving to motorsports we were discovering and exploring different ways of spending our time.
However, something that really stood out, something that we had been pursuing the longest and with the greatest affection
was photography.
It all started when we were little kids. We would take pictures under our parents' guidance and then we would stay up
late in a home-made darkroom and watch the magic of developing and printing. The first serious attempts started with
buying 35mm film SLR cameras as soon as we were able to afford them. There was joy and frustration, experiments with
negatives and positives, success and embarrassment. One thing that never changed was the inexhaustible passion for taking
photos and becoming better photographers. Then came the digital revolution. It really turned the world of photography
upside down. Being crazy about technology we got onboard fairly quickly. We made an investment in a professional DSLR
system and quickly realized what endless possibilities digital had to offer.
After numerous compliments from family and friends we decided to take it to the next level. At first we got into a
professional field of portrait and fashion photography. Then we expanded into engagement and wedding areas. We did a few
product photography projects as well. We never looked back. We simply love it. Sure, there are challenges involved but
it's part of life and we look at it as at another opportunity to prove ourselves. At the end of the day it is very
rewarding and a lot of fun.
Equipment and Process
Yes, it is true that it is more about the photographer than the camera when it comes to producing great looking photos.
However, tool selection is important and it does make a difference. We employ a variety of professional-grade equipment in
our work, which allows us to produce the results we want, up to our standards, and in a consistent fashion.
We have a long-term relationship with Canon line of products. We use Canon digital SLR camera bodies that combine
fantastic picture quality, the latest available technology, and world-known reliability.
We use a selection of Canon lenses, each suitable for a set of specific conditions including location, lighting, and
desired picture style.
Not a single photograph we took would be made possible without the endless list of studio lighting and auxiliary
equipment, such as flash strobes, soft boxes, photo umbrellas, reflectors, light metering devices, and many others. These
professional-grade and carefully picked tools allow us creating the right setup regardless of the complexity of a project
we might be working on.
Digital revolution opened a world of possibilities to new and established photographers. We stay on the "bleeding edge"
and make use of the best available hardware and software. From monitor calibration to customized digital photo workflow,
we do our best making technology work for us and our clients.
Printing has always been the "black magic" aspect of photography. We have spent countless hours learning the ins and
outs of digital printing and experimenting with various papers to be able to produce breath-taking prints. Canon printing
technology coupled with pigment-based inks and high-grade paper ensures we can make a long-lasting print for any occasion.
